Grimoire

This series of works, titled Grimoire, originates in a small handmade book of watercolor, ink and chalk pastel drawings that I made in the quiet hours of the morning and night. The resulting body of work explores themes of motherhood, nature, and dreams, with the forest functioning as a metaphor for memory and interior experience. Like a book of spells, the pages became a place to write small incantations—visual notes on care, protection, and transformation. Through painting, stitching, and mark-making, each work returns to this intimate language of symbols and gestures, where everyday acts of motherhood take on a quiet sense of magic.
